Conclave of Vampires

11 book contemporary vampire series from Peter & Kate Sawyer

1-Mortality

March 1939. Europe is on the brink of war and a meeting has been called: the 29th Conclave of the Vampires. The fledgling House of New England had travelled across the Atlantic for the first time to the assembly in London.

But Count Dracula does not say all he knows. And what he conceals could spell the doom of all: mortal and vampire.

The first instalment of the Conclave of Vampires series, Immortalitycombines worldwide folklore, Bram Stoker’s classic and a unique view of immortality and monsters.

2-Immortality

Summer 2019. A new vampire is wreaking havoc across Southern England. Uncontrolled, unrelenting and merciless, they must be persuaded to stop. Or forced to. As the other vampires search for them, though, mortal humans are beginning to have their attention drawn and some are hunting their hunter. Vampires cannot be shot or stabbed but they can burn.

The second instalment of the Conclave of Vampires series, Mortality brings vampires into the 21st Century with bite.

3-Bloodlust

The vampires are at war. The young houses and all of the mortal world are at risk and the only hope is hiding in an abandoned tunnel under London. But what can a handful of inexperienced vampires do against the might of their ancient enemies?

The third instalment of the Conclave of Vampires series, Bloodlustis filled with suspense, danger and blood, a contemporary vampire story for the 21st Century.

4- Life

The war of the vampires is over. House Pan is secure in their new home, House New England have returned home, but the undead are restless. And very bored.

Three vampires decide to go back to school. But can vampires ever re-assimilate? Can they stay hidden while studying? Will the temptation to succumb to their nature prove too strong? Can mortals and immortals be friends, colleagues and even intimate? And is anyone ever safe?

The fourth instalment of the Conclave of Vampires series brings the reader along as the newest of the vampires come to terms with themselves and the world around them.

Life doesn’t stop with death. Death can bring opportunity.

5- Death
Dracula’s entire organisation can rest on a single individual: nobody is more important than his agent. In a House made and dominated by old, male vampires, can a young, female thrall of House Pan make a success of the job? And should she accept a job offer from the most dangerous individual in existence?

Book Five of Conclave of Vampires brings Houses Pan and Dracula together for the first time. Dracula is a part of LJ Westenra, but is Chelsea up to his standard?

6-Grief

Biting thralls is always a roll of the dice: will they be relieved, overwhelmed or angry? In the depths of winter, in both York and New York, both LJ of House Pan and Jem of House New England have had to bite a thrall and the adjustment begins: becoming a bat, teleportation, biting necks and drinking blood. And Chelsea is facing challenges of her own as her powers, abilities and determination are tested.

The sixth instalment of Conclave of Vampires asks is death the end? Or is death the answer?

7- Anger

Death is not peaceful. Death does not stop life’s problems; it only prolongs them. Immortals have great power, great responsibility and eternal consequences. Even vampires are morals and expectations, so what happens when someone breaks the code? When one problem leads to another, can anyone find the right path?

In the seventh book of Conclave of Vampires, the problems of immortality begin to multiply.

8- Lust

There have only been eight Origins of Vampiric Houses. And if the mysterious Carmilla is the ninth, she may pose more than a small problem. Magnetic to the point of irresistibility, clever to the verge of arrogance and ingratiating almost to obsequious, can she be trusted to keep her fangs to herself? And is she even a vampire?

Bloodlust and carnal lust come together in Conclave of Vampire’s eighth book.

9- Purpose

Boredom is an eternal problem and it only gets worse when someone lives forever. Everyone, even vampires, need a purpose: whether it’s expanding their House, securing their legacy or even just studying. Mortals need a purpose: making money, having children, travelling the world... what about living forever? If vampires exist, if they can be traced, do they accept volunteers?

The ninth of the Conclave of Vampires series brings back the mortal threat to the vampires, but asks: is it a threat at all or just a proposal?

10- Home

Everyone needs a home and vampires have the innate need to be a part of their House, their vampiric family, however not every thrall fits the mould. House Pan is the home of free expression, open sexuality, ‘booze and craziness’ and their newest thrall disapproves. To be a part of the House, she will need to reconcile her faith and beliefs with her nature and her new instincts. And to integrate her as a part of the House, the older vampires may have to reconcile themselves to a new and different lifestyle.

The penultimate book of the series brings faith, sex, family and fate into sharp focus as the most fundamental behaviour of people and vampires is put to the test..

11- Resolution

The great advantage of immortality is time and perspective. Patterns can be studied, mortal beliefs analysed and a fresh perspective can challenge even the most veteran of scholars. Because of this, Count Dracula is sending a team to China in pursuit of the legend of the jiangshi. Are the stories just myth or is there some foundation in fact?

Conclave of Vampiresconcludes with a fantastic sweep into new legends and new ground, combining the classic Gothic horror of Dracula with Chinese folklore and modern vampiric fantasy. And, as the story is resolved, House Pan takes its biggest step.

Conclave of Vampires

Princess

Powerful true-life story

“I’m not crazy. Well, I am, but I’m not!”

Bipolar, bisexual, a little naïve, and more than a little confused, Ceri is starting university. But after a difficult start, things take a severe turn for the worse when she is raped after a party. What follows is her inspiring true journey to recovery and a tribute to her bravery. Based on a true story, this is an emotional, at times harrowing, but ultimately uplifting and hopeful story of a young woman facing being away from home, severe mental health conditions, sexual assault and coming to terms with her own identity and sexuality

The true story of one of the author's greatest friends.
